How Doc Scanner works: scan, enhance, share

1. Scan

   Tap the camera button and hold your phone over the page. Doc Scanner finds the edges, corrects the perspective and captures the page automatically. Keep going for up to 100 pages, or import photos and PDFs you already have.

2. Enhance

   Crop, rotate and pick one of six filters, such as Magic Color, Grayscale or B&W, for one page or with Apply to all pages. Add your saved signature with Sign, or mark key lines with Highlight.

3. Export and share

   Tap Share, choose PDF or JPG, set the quality, page size and pages, then send the file through your phone's share sheet or tap Print. Exported PDFs are searchable.

What Doc Scanner does

Doc Scanner turns the phone you already carry into a phone scanner for everything on paper: receipts, contracts, ID cards, forms, book pages, class notes and tax papers. Scan to PDF or JPG, then sign, search, organize and share the result without a computer or a flatbed scanner.

Switching from Microsoft Lens, CamScanner or Adobe Scan?

Microsoft Lens (formerly Office Lens) is retired: Microsoft removed it from the App Store and Google Play on February 9, 2026, and it can't create new scans after March 9, 2026. Free plan and Premium

Doc Scanner is free to download and has a free plan for scanning, signing and exporting PDFs. It covers automatic edge detection, all six filters, crop and rotate, signatures, the highlighter, PDF export with a searchable text layer, JPG export, printing, sharing, folders and merging. Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription (weekly, monthly or yearly), billed by the App Store or Google Play. It unlocks text extraction, ID card mode, Word and TXT conversion, password-protected PDFs and more.

Several apps use the name “Doc Scanner”. This one is made by Ginowl, an independent app developer based in Türkiye:
